James Governor is co-founder of RedMonk, the open source analyst firm, which specialises in developer advocacy and analytics. Based in Shoreditch, London, he advises enterprises, startups and major companies such as IBM and Microsoft on developer-led innovation, community and technology strategy. He is also proud to have open source non-profit organisations such as the Apache Software Foundation and the Eclipse Foundation as clients. James is co-author of the O’Reilly publication Web 2.0 Design Patterns: what architects and entrepreneurs need to know.

RedMonk makes extensive of both open source and social media tools in its business operations – James, aka @monkchips, has more than 11k twitter followers. Chairman of SAP’s external panel for stakeholder assurance in Sustainability Strategy and Reporting for 2009 he led the creation of the Greenmonk sustainability subsidiary.

Sean Martin is a technology and cybersecurity professional with over 30 years of experience in engineering, product development, marketing, journalism, and media. A seven-time CISSP-certified professional, he has led the engineering and delivery efforts for hundreds of cybersecurity products at some of the largest organizations and startups. He founded imsmartin to help technology companies bring their products to the global market (U.S. to Europe & Asia / Asia & Europe to U.S.), and co-founded ITSPmagazine, where he manages technical operations, directs programming, and defines editorial strategy.

As a speaker, writer, and host of multiple video and audio podcasts—including Redefining CyberSecurity and Music Evolves—he explores the impact of technology across business, society, and culture. Martin occasionally serves as an adjunct professor at Graziadio Business School on Pepperdine University’s Malibu, CA campus, teaching cybersecurity analytics for data-driven storytelling and business-oriented risk management.
