Tech Trailblazers Awards partners with London Enterprise Tech Meetup

The Tech Trailblazers Awards are proud to announce a partnership with London Enterprise Tech Meetup which will see them both support each other in their goals to inspire and assist enterprise startup firms.

The news is timely, given that 7.00pm BST Monday 21 September sees the next London Enterprise Tech Meetup, entitled “A Tale of Two Cities… FinTech – past, present & future” which is being held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the FinTech Innovation Lab. Since the New York Lab was founded in 2010, there have been two more locations added with London in 2012 and then Hong Kong (covering the Asia Pacific region) in 2014.

The event, which you can sign up for on EventBrite, will bring together industry leaders to discuss the “competitive friendship” between London and New York, the two pre-eminent Fintech locations globally. The speakers will be ruminating on the past and present, and also looking into the future of Fintech in NY and London.

The speaker guest list features:

  • Andy Brown (CEO of Sandhill East and board member of Zscaler, our 2013 Security Trailblazers winner)
  • Cris Conde (EIR at Accel Partners and former CEO of Sungard)
  • Scott Condron (Former MD of Aladdin Wealth Tech and CTO of Blackrock)
  • Maria Gotsch (President & CEO of Partnership Fund for NYC)
  • Tom Graham (MD of Accenture’s Banking Practice and Program Director of the FinTech Innovation Lab London)

The Tech Trailblazers Awards has a Fintech category for enterprise startups to participate in and the new partnership with London Enterprise Tech Meetup will see this year’s winners being showcased at a meetup in January 2021, a fantastic opportunity for our Fintech winners to get in front of a savvy enterprise-focused audience. The event will also include a panel discussion with some of the Awards’ judges, giving startups a chance to gain some sage advice from experts in the field.

The FinTech Innovations Lab London has also announced that it’s open for applications to its 2021 programme which focuses on early and growth-stage companies with at least a beta technology/product, providing a course of workshops and mentoring to accelerate startups. One alumni, OpenWrks put it as “we have been able to carry out 12 months of market validation and proposition refinement in 12 weeks”.

Celin Phoen, Program Manager of the FinTech Innovation Lab, will be present at the event next Monday to provide an overview of the programme. Applications are free, go here to apply and find out more.
