SQream has come a long way since then, having changed their name from SQream Technologies for starters, and are now in the enviable position of having to find more technical staff to keep up with the firm’s rapid growth. Not only did you win the Regional Cup Award in 2014 but you were also shortlisted in the Big Data category. Did winning the Tech Trailblazers Regional Cup Award help you? What words of encouragement would you give to a company which is weighing up whether to enter the Awards? Focus on your unique offering. Answer this question: “How you are able to address challenges that other companies and products have not effectively been able to solve?” Then focus less on the technological ins and outs of your product, focusing instead on the tangible business value it provides. Are there any tips you could give a company to help them with entering the awards? You should always be ready to pivot according to the changing market. Do you have any advice in general for start-up companies, trying to survive in the current economic climate?
