For our latest outing we have the great pleasure of announcing that Andy Gomarsall MBE (for services to rugby), Executive Chairman at N2S, has joined our judging panel for the Sustainable Tech category. N2S is a Warehousing, Logistics, Installation & Decommissioning company for Telecoms & IT industries, which means that Andy has a wealth of knowledge about recovering, reusing, and recycling electronic assets. Andy shares his journey through his years playing rugby, which led him to a World Cup victory, and his role at N2S and the difference the firm aims to make in pushing firms to have a more circular economy when it comes to IT hardware. He also points out the difficult in tracking assets only makes it harder to calculate whether measures are making a positive difference, how moving into the cloud isn’t a magic bullet, and how there are security issues regarding losing track of hardware.
