#FoundersOnFire Alumni NewsFlash Founders on Fire NEWSFLASH Posted by rax lakhani | 09/10/2026 Seven alumni stories, fresh partnerships and practical AI Entries for the 2026 Tech Trailblazers Awards are officially closed. A big thank-you to everyone who entered. We’ve loved seeing what you’ve been building. There’s been plenty happening across the alumni family, too. Here are seven recent stories from the past two weeks, from new partnerships and product updates to a closer look at how AI is changing enterprise technology. Darwinium and GBG bring intent into fraud prevention 30 September 2026TT Awards proof: 2025 Security Trailblazers runner-up. Verifying an identity is an important start, but what happens next matters too. Darwinium has announced a partnership with GBG to help businesses assess whether a verified person or AI agent continues to act with legitimate intent throughout a digital journey. Darwinium contributes behavioural, device and journey signals, complementing GBG’s identity and location intelligence. The companies say the combination will help organisations recognise changes in risk across customer interactions, including cases where a genuine customer is manipulated into acting for a fraudster. It is a timely development as AI agents take on more transactions. Congratulations to the Darwinium team on a partnership that addresses how digital trust needs to evolve. Spacelift has been named a finalist in the AI-Driven Cloud Infrastructure category of SiliconANGLE’s 2026 TechForward Awards. The company’s infrastructure orchestration platform applies policy checks, access controls, approval gates, drift detection and an audit history to AI-assisted infrastructure changes. It supports workflows across Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi and Kubernetes. For platform teams, faster infrastructure requests also bring a need to understand who approved a change and what actually ran. Spacelift’s approach keeps those controls in the workflow as AI accelerates development. Another recognition for a member of our Cloud Trailblazers alumni community. Cynomi’s new Reports Coworker tackles a familiar task for virtual CISOs and managed service providers: turning security work into a clear client report. The AI tool builds reports from client information already held in Cynomi, including security posture, tasks, findings, risks and compliance coverage. Users can refine the report in chat, adjust its structure or tone, and export a branded PDF or save it within the platform. Service providers can set their branding once and reuse a report structure with current data in later reporting cycles. Cynomi says the capability is included in all packages for eligible administrator and Coworker Editor users. A practical update that could give advisers more time to explain the results and guide the client’s next steps. In a new Technology Magazine interview, Descope co-founder Rishi Bhargava explains how Collectors brought consumer, partner and employee authentication onto one orchestration platform. Collectors, whose brands include PSA, PCGS, SGC and Beckett, needed to support different login experiences alongside machine-to-machine access. The interview describes how visual authentication flows helped its identity team adapt journeys without rebuilding authentication logic in application code each time requirements changed. Bhargava also discusses the next layer of that challenge: giving AI agents their own identities, carefully scoped permissions and short-lived credentials. The feature offers a useful view of how a past Developer Trailblazers winner is addressing identity across people, services and agents. Confluent’s latest Cloud release notes bring several updates for developers working with streaming data. On 1 October, the company released a native Rust client for Apache Kafka in preview, covering producer, consumer and administration capabilities. It also made its managed Marketo Sink and Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Source connectors generally available. The following day, Confluent added Flink SQL statement tools to its managed MCP servers. These let an AI assistant validate and run statements, check their health, investigate failures and query metrics. Together, the updates broaden how developers connect business systems and work with live data. Lendflow’s latest broker roundup puts business acquisition financing in focus. Published on 28 September, it highlights a dedicated SBA loan workflow and the company’s financing partnership with Bizbe. The roundup describes a branded process through which buyers can submit acquisition details, upload documents and review lender offers. It also explores how Bizbe Capital embeds financing into the acquisition journey. For brokers helping buyers move towards a deal, the update is a useful look at how our Financial Technology Trailblazers winner is connecting the steps between finding a business and arranging its financing. LucidLink’s latest release brings two useful additions for teams working with distributed files: more control over API keys and simpler access to external content. Administrators can now restrict LucidLink Management Platform API keys to selected IP addresses and choose which resources each key may read or write. Those restrictions are optional, so existing unrestricted keys retain their previous access. Per-key audit logs are planned for a later release. For users with LucidLink Connect, the web and desktop apps now support creating and managing data stores and connecting external files for instant streaming. It is another practical step towards making large files available where teams need to work with them. Source: LucidLink release notes Got news? Keep it coming Winning an Award is only the start.
