There is another impressive crop of alumni news landing at Tech Trailblazers Towers, with previous winners and runners-up making moves across quantum security, supply-chain resilience, big data, cyber operations and storage.

From proving post-quantum technology in live military conditions and securing fresh investment to earning industry recognition and delivering measurable savings for enterprise customers, our alumni are continuing to turn ambitious ideas into real-world results.

Here are seven Tech Trailblazers alumni stories that caught our attention.

QuSecure proves its post-quantum technology in live U.S. Army conditions

QuSecure has announced that its QuProtect R3 platform successfully provided quantum-resistant communications, cryptographic agility, and cryptographic discovery and inventory for U.S. Army tactical mission systems during Project Convergence Capstone 6.

The annual event, held at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, brings together thousands of soldiers and a wide range of emerging technologies to test future capabilities in realistic operational conditions.

Following its successful use by soldiers during the exercise, QuProtect R3 achieved Technical Readiness Level 7 — an important milestone demonstrating that the technology has progressed into an operational environment.

QuSecure was crowned our inaugural Quantum Trailblazers winner in 2025. It is fantastic to see the company taking post-quantum security beyond theory and demonstrating its technology in one of the most demanding environments imaginable.

Risk Ledger secures £24 million to expand supply-chain security

Risk Ledger has secured £24 million in Series B funding to support the continued expansion of its collaborative supply-chain security platform.

The company is tackling a particularly difficult cybersecurity challenge: organisations may have strong internal defences but remain exposed through suppliers, partners and other connected third parties.

Its platform is designed to give organisations greater visibility across those extended ecosystems, helping security teams identify shared risks and collaborate on reducing them.

Risk Ledger was our 2024 Security Trailblazers winner, while COO Emily Hodges was also recognised as a Female CxO Trailblazers runner-up that year.

This investment represents another major vote of confidence in the company’s approach and its mission to make complex digital supply chains more resilient.

Axoflow earns recognition for measurable security operations results

Axoflow has been named a finalist in the Security Operations & Response category of SiliconANGLE’s 2026 TechForward Awards.

The recognition is based on measurable customer results. According to the company, one global industrial organisation reduced SIEM costs by 50% and mean time to resolution by 85%, while a government agency reduced data volumes by 80% during a migration to Google Security Operations.

Axoflow’s autonomous security data layer collects, processes, routes and manages security information, with the aim of helping organisations control rising SIEM costs without losing detection coverage.

The company was a 2025 Firestarter Trailblazers runner-up, while co-founder and CEO Balázs Scheidler was crowned our 2025 Male CxO Tech Trailblazer.

It is particularly satisfying to see Axoflow being recognised for customer outcomes rather than innovation in isolation. Congratulations to Balázs and the team.

Hydrolix takes home a Global Tech Award for analytics

Hydrolix has won a 2026 Global Tech Award in the Analytics Technology category, recognising the capabilities of its real-time data platform.

The company’s technology is designed to ingest and analyse extremely large volumes of streaming data while retaining that information for longer-term analysis at a manageable cost.

That combination is increasingly valuable as enterprises generate more observability, security and operational data but still need to query it quickly and control their infrastructure spending.

Hydrolix was a Big Data Trailblazers runner-up in 2024. This latest recognition provides another welcome endorsement of the company’s work in making internet-scale data more accessible and useful.

Object First builds on its global growth

Object First has reported continued global growth as demand increases for storage infrastructure designed specifically to strengthen ransomware resilience.

The company provides on-premises backup storage built around immutability and simplicity, helping organisations protect backup data against modification or deletion during a cyberattack.

It is an increasingly important area. As ransomware groups target backup systems to make recovery more difficult, organisations need to ensure that their last line of defence remains available when primary systems are compromised.

Object First was a Storage Trailblazers runner-up in both 2023 and 2025. Its continued commercial progress is another sign of how relevant that original focus has become.

Cohesity prepares enterprises for resilience in the age of AI

Cohesity has announced that its Catalyst 2026 virtual summit will focus on enterprise resilience as AI agents become embedded in critical applications and workflows.

The event will bring together leaders from organisations including AWS, Google Cloud, NVIDIA, Anthropic, McDonald’s and CVS Health. It will also feature new research and capabilities intended to improve visibility, control and recovery across multi-agent environments.

The theme is timely. AI can help businesses operate and recover more efficiently, but autonomous systems also introduce new dependencies and potential points of failure.

Cohesity was our 2016 Storage Trailblazers winner. A decade later, it continues to evolve alongside the enterprise data market, moving from data protection towards the broader challenge of securing and recovering AI-enabled operations.

Congratulations to the Cohesity team on continuing to blaze that trail.

Abnormal AI strengthens cyber protection for Texas water utilities

Abnormal AI has joined Project Watershed 250, a public-private initiative coordinated by the White House Office of the National Cyber Director, the Office of the Texas Governor and Texas Cyber Command.

Through the pilot, the company will provide its AI-native email security platform free of charge to participating water and wastewater utilities across Texas.

These organisations are increasingly targeted by cyberattacks but often lack dedicated security operations centres. Abnormal’s behavioural AI is designed to detect sophisticated email and identity threats that can bypass traditional rules-based defences.

Abnormal AI was crowned our 2020 Security Trailblazers winner. It is fantastic to see an alumnus applying its technology to help protect essential public services and support historically under-resourced operators.
