Terms & Conditions Definitions The following terms shall have the following meaning in these terms and conditions: ‘Tech Trailblazer Awards’ means the competition known as the Tech Trailblazer Awards whereby entries are judged by the Tech Trailblazer judging panel and the public, and awards are given in relation to the Categories. ‘Category’ means each particular category of award to be granted by Tech Trailblazers in the course of the Tech Trailblazer Awards as more particularly listed and detailed on the website. ‘Closing Date’ is subject to final confirmation. ‘Entry’ means your entry/entries to be considered in the Tech Trailblazer Awards. ‘Fee’ means the relevant entry fee corresponding to the relevant Entry according to the relevant Category for which the Entry is made as set out on the Website. ‘Judging Criteria’ means the criteria and bases for judging Entries and granting awards to Entrants in the course of the Tech Trailblazer Awards. ‘Website’ means the Tech Trailblazer website, www.techtrailblazers.com. Tech Trailblazer Awards Entry Formalities In order to enter the Tech Trailblazer Awards, each person submitting an entry must be over the age of 18. All Entries must be submitted in the English language via the online entry form on the Website, and the Entry must be accompanied by the appropriate Fee submitted in accordance with these terms. Each Entry must be submitted to Tech Trailblazers in accordance with these terms and conditions and by submitting an Entry you confirm that you accept these terms and conditions and you have the agreement of all associated parties that the submission be made. Each Entry must be completed in full and received by Tech Trailblazers before the Closing Date together with the correct Fee. Entries received after the Closing Date may be disqualified in which case they will not be considered by Tech Trailblazers and the entry Fee will be forfeited. Entries which are not fully completed will be disqualified at the discretion of Tech Trailblazers and any entry Fee shall be forfeited. In the event that an Entry is inaccurate or incomplete, does not comply with these conditions or is deemed, at the sole discretion of Tech Trailblazers, ineligible for any other reason, then the relevant Entry will be disqualified and the entry Fee will be forfeited. For the avoidance of doubt the entry Fee is non-refundable. No Entry will go forward for judging by the Tech Trailblazers judging panel unless full payment of the Fee is received before judging commences, as notified on the Website. Further information relating to an Entry shall be admissible after the Entry is submitted via the online entry form before the final deadline. If an Entry is shortlisted you will be asked to do a sub five minute lightning talk via video conference call to a selection of the judges You may submit any number of Entries to the Tech Trailblazer Awards. You may place your Entry in more than one Category. Judging Entries Tech Trailblazers shall consider each Entry through a judging panel as listed on the Website on its merits and on the basis solely of the information provided in the relevant Entry and all Entries shall be considered in accordance with these terms and conditions and the Judging Criteria. Shortlisting by the judging panel will take place as decided by the Tech Trailblazers Awards. For further information and dates please refer to the website. Tech Trailblazers will announce a shortlist of certain Entrants in the timeline as described on the website. Winners of Categories will be announced by the Tech Trailblazers Awards in accordance with the timeline as detailed on the website. Such winners will be selected by public voting and a judging panel from the shortlisted Entries. Tech Trailblazers decisions relating to shortlisting and granting of awards in the course of judging the Tech Trailblazer Awards is final and Tech Trailblazers will not enter into any correspondence or discussion with any Entrants on any subject nor will Tech Trailblazers accept any submissions or representations or appeals with regard to such decisions, and Tech Trailblazers reserves at its sole discretion the right to: 1. Disqualify Entries which do not comply with these conditions or for any other reason;2. Not to make any particular award in any given Category;3. Move an Entry to another Category without notice, if Tech Trailblazers feels it would be better suited in the relevant Category. Limitations & Disclaimer In no event shall Tech Trailblazers be liable whether in contract, tort, by statute or otherwise in respect of any loss of profits and/or loss of business for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the Tech Trailblazer Awards, including without limitation: loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business and/or goods, loss of goodwill, loss of use, loss of data and/or other information submitted with Entries. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or restrict our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation and/or for death or personal injury to the extent that such injury results from our negligence or willful default. If Your Entry Has Been Shortlisted You will be informed whether your Entry has been shortlisted via a notification on the Website and via email to your registered contact person. Any changes to this timescale shall be posted on the Website from time to time. You may be required to submit other information to Tech Trailblazers to be used for display on the website, via social media or via other media outlets during the public voting phase. Entrants authorise Tech Trailblazers to publicly display all and any such information provided to Tech Trailblazers for this purpose. Eligibility The Tech Trailblazer Awards are open to any business that has founded within the past seven years and is at C series funding or below.
